Staff & Board of Directors

ABMRA General Manager - John (JD) DeVivo

“I’m 56 years young and have spent my entire adult life in the outdoor recreation industry. I relocated to AB from Bethel, Maine. I’m a husband and father of three (2 in college and one college grad), and I’m an avid skier, surfer, pedaler (road & mtn), hiker, and paddler (kayak & SUP).

My wife, younger daughter, and our dog stayed back home in Maine so that my daughter could finish out her last 2 years of HS, and my wife is a valued member of the Boyne Resorts team that’s based back East. My girls are at school at URI (Rhode Island) and UMD (Maryland), and my son recently graduated from Western Colorado U.

I came here to AB because I’m enthralled by the mission of revitalizing ski areas and saving affordable skiing and riding. We want to be the model that other 300-600 acre properties can look to when it comes to running with a great crew of 30-60 people and becoming profitable… and plugging heavily into the local community while doing so. I’m here full-time and full-tilt, and I live right here at the AB Lodge.”… JD

I left the 207… and 2,300 miles later I’m loving life out here in the 307!
